Description
With more than a million REALTORS® and perhaps millions more real estate licensees in the United States, effective personal promotion is no longer optional it is one of the most important aspects of professional success. To survive in the real estate marketplace, today’s licensee must differentiate him or herself to obtain and retain customers. The purpose of this course is to review the elements necessary to create a promotion plan based on personal differentiators. This course provides the real estate professional with the skills to create a personal promotion plan that, because it is a reflection of him or her, is both effective and lasting.
Objectives
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Create a Personal Promotion Plan
- Discover their unique attributes
- Understand their communication style
- Identify their target customer and market
- Develop a Unique Value Proposition (UVP), elevator speech, and brand for use in personal promotion
- Identify key points in persuasive speech
- Identify various channels for marketing
- Apply the Do Not Call rules to marketing efforts
- Identify exemptions to the Florida Do Not Call Law
- Develop a cost of use profile for various types of personal promotions
- Understand the difference between Personal and Institutional Advertising
- Utilize promotional materials which are consistent with a personal brand
- Measure success
- Determine where referrals are coming from
- Create an exit survey
- Use individualized marketing components as basis for the development of an overall personal promotional plan
- Evaluate their feedback and follow up cycle
- Apply the REALTOR® Code of Ethics to marketing efforts
