Newsday published the results of a three-year investigation into alleged discrimination by real estate agents in the communities on Long Island, NY. Newsday is an American daily newspaper that primarily serves Nassau and Suffolk counties and the New York City borough of Queens on Long Island.
The purpose of this class is to provide real estate professionals working in today’s diverse real estate environment with the knowledge and information they need to understand the importance of fair housing laws and insure they are responsibly practicing real estate in a nondiscriminatory fashion.
This is an online independent study course completed on demand. Participants are able to exit and reenter the course as needed, and will independently read the course text and watch relevant course videos.
Objectives
The purpose of this class is to sensitize participants about fair housing issues and provide information to help them avoid violation of fair housing laws. In this class you will learn how to:
